THE POWER OF PRAYER

From Routine to Relationship

By Chris Sarno

Let’s talk about prayer. Real prayer. Not just the kind we whisper before a meal or rattle off when life gets tough—but the kind of prayer that connects you directly to the heart of God.

Prayer isn’t supposed to be a performance. It’s not about using the right words or sounding spiritual enough. Jesus made that clear in Matthew 6:5–8. He wasn’t impressed by public displays or empty phrases—He was pointing us to something deeper: an authentic, face-to-face connection with our Father.

That’s what I want for you. Prayer isn’t just talking—it’s meeting. It’s stepping into a space where you can be real with God and let Him speak into your life.

You’re Not Just Praying—You’re Positioning

One of my favorite verses is Jeremiah 33:3: “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” That’s not just poetic language—that’s a promise. When you pray, you’re not just checking a box. You’re positioning yourself to receive clarity, direction, wisdom, and peace. You’re saying, “God, I don’t want to do life without You.”

Prayer isn’t about informing God—He already knows. It’s about involving Him. And when you make space for Him, He fills it with more than you ever expected.

Make It Personal. Make It a Lifestyle.

If prayer only happens when things go wrong, you’re missing the power of what it can do when things are going right. Don’t make prayer your last resort—make it your first move. When prayer becomes a rhythm, not a reaction, your whole perspective shifts. Peace becomes your default. Confidence rises. You stop living reactive and start living ready.

It doesn’t have to be complicated. It just has to be consistent. Talk to God like you would talk to a trusted friend. Be honest. Be bold. Be expectant.

This Is Your Invitation to Go Deeper

If your prayer life has felt dry, disconnected, or like something you “should” do instead of something you want to do—I get it. But don’t stay there. God is closer than you think. He’s not waiting for you to get it perfect—He’s just waiting for you to show up.

So here’s my challenge to you: carve out time this week to meet with Him. Not for a performance. Not for routine. But for relationship. Because that’s where real transformation happens—face to face.
